PUBLICATION POLICIES

As a distinguished entity within the international scholarly ecosystem, APF fervently supports the advancement of linguistic diversity and the extensive distribution of academic contributions in numerous languages. Our Multilingual Publishing Initiative (MPI) embodies the essence of our dedication, perfectly aligning with UNESCO's mission to enhance language diversity and facilitate the unrestricted exchange of scholarly information worldwide.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

APF upholds a unique approach towards Article Processing Charges (APC), designed to maintain the sustainability of multilingual publishing while also promoting equitable access to publication opportunities for researchers worldwide. Recognizing the financial constraints that may hinder scholars from disseminating their work, APF’s APC policy is sensitive to the economic disparities between countries.

APC Waiver and Discount Policy

The determination of APCs is guided by the World Bank’s annual classification of countries based on income. This tiered structure ensures that authors from lower-income countries are granted waivers or significant discounts on APCs, facilitating a more inclusive academic dialogue that transcends financial barriers. Our policy details are as follows:

Full Waiver: Authors from low-income countries, as defined by the World Bank, are eligible for a full waiver of the APC. This ensures that financial constraints do not impede the contribution of valuable research from these regions to the global academic community.

Partial Discount: Authors from lower-middle and upper-middle-income countries receive a partial discount on the APC, proportionate to their country's classification. This tiered discount system is designed to balance the need for sustainability in publishing with our commitment to promoting global academic participation.

Standard APC: Authors from high-income countries are subject to the standard APC, which reflects the actual cost of the comprehensive publication process. This tier supports the sustainability of the publishing model and allows APF to offer waivers and discounts to authors from less affluent regions.

Commitment to Linguistic Diversity

In line with our mission to support linguistic diversity, APF encourages submissions in multiple languages. Our multilingual publication approach is not just about offering translation services but about respecting and preserving the academic integrity of research conducted in various languages. This policy supports UNESCO’s mandate to foster tolerance and respect through the preservation of linguistic and cultural diversity.

Academic Frontiers Publishing Group’s publication policy is a testament to our dedication to making academic publishing more accessible, equitable, and reflective of the global diversity of thought and language. We believe that by supporting researchers across the economic spectrum, we can contribute to a richer, more inclusive academic discourse that benefits societies worldwide.
