Official Statement and Advisory Notice on Fraudulent Email Scams

To Our Esteemed Author Community,

It has come to our attention that certain individuals have engaged in fraudulent activities by impersonating the Academic Frontiers Publishing Group (AFP) through the use of counterfeit AFPub.org email addresses. These malicious actors have attempted to deceive authors into making unwarranted payments for publication fees.

In response to these actions, AFP wishes to reiterate and emphasize the following critical points to all authors:

Legitimate Email Communications: All authentic communications from AFP regarding payment matters will originate exclusively from email addresses with the @AFPub.org domain. Emails that do not adhere to this domain should be regarded with suspicion and reported accordingly.

Payment Request Policy: AFP does not impose rapid payment deadlines on authors, typically within 2-3 days. Furthermore, AFP does not threaten the non-publication or deletion of an article due to the absence of immediate payment under previously unheard-of pretexts.

Operational Assurance: The seamless operation of our internal processes ensures that all transactions and communications are conducted efficiently. AFP categorically denies requesting additional payments due to supposed operational hindrances, such as the illness of financial or editorial staff members.

Following the receipt of reports from concerned authors, AFP has undertaken immediate and conspicuous measures across various platforms to prevent the further spread of these fraudulent activities.

Advisory for Email Verification:

In the event of receiving suspicious emails, AFP strongly advises authors to conduct a thorough verification of the sender’s email address and domain by accessing their email through a desktop browser. This practice serves as the most direct and reliable method for authenticating the legitimacy of the email correspondence.

AFP is committed to maintaining a secure and transparent environment for our authors. The trust and safety of our community are paramount. Should you encounter any suspicious activity or require further assistance, we urge you to contact AFP directly through our official channels.

We appreciate your vigilance and cooperation in safeguarding the integrity of the academic publishing process.
